Class overview
In 6th grade this year, we will be learning to appreciate great novels and short stories taken from award winning authors. Students will sharpen their reading comprehension skills while growing our Lexiles. We aim to improve our writing skills and back up written ideas with evidence from literature. Great readers make great writers! I look forward to a great school year.
One Word 2025
Students picked one word to focus on during this new year. Their ONE WORDs are pretty remarkable!
Jara Miller
I have been teaching for 19 years in Miller County and also in Cobb County, GA. I enjoy reading, coaching tennis and spending time with my family and pets. I look forward to helping my students grow in the classroom, as athletes, and as leaders in our community.
