We are excited to continue to implement our ELA curriculum Wonders this year. We will work on a 5 day schedule. Each week the students will be reading multiple stories with a similar theme. The stories will focus on different vocabulary strategies, comprehension skills, and comprehension strategies. The stories vary in genres as well. We will be reading nonfiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, plays, biographies, poetry and others!

Your child will be placed in a Literacy group based on his or her needs. We will be utilizing the Guided Reading philosophy to run our groups. Groups focus on various skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. As your child's needs change, so will their group.
