Homework for Thursday 16th January
1. Literacy- read the passage in classwork in classroom and answer the questions. Remember to submit your answers.
2. Numeracy- using addition/subtraction skills can you create your own 'arithmagon' .Do it on paper so we can try to solve them on Thursday/Friday.
3. Writing this week we will continue with personal writing. We will be focusing on this picture (link below). Can you look at the photo and discuss the questions with someone at home.

Homework for 28th November
1. Keep practising your spelling words. Our quiz will be on Friday after assembly!! Also practise your christmas song words when you are given them.
2. This week your challenge is to have at least 1 night screen free- tv, ipads, phones etc. I understand this may be tricky depending on your circumstances. But even try for part of an evening. Think about how it makes you feel and we will be discussing this on Thursday afternoon.
3. Mental maths complete the worksheet that you picked.
4. This weeks writing will be based on the John Lewis Christmas advert, we will be watching and discussing it in class. Have a chat with your grown ups at home about what happens when someone comes to stay overnight at your home. Do you have enough space? Do you have to swop bedrooms? Is there a queue for the bathroom?

Homework for Thursday 14th November#
1. Literacy- discuss with someone at home the documentary 2040 that we watched at the cinema.
Spelling- practise all the spelling words from this year for a quiz on Friday (the keywords are in P6B shared drive then P6 homework spelling words) remember you are practising your groups words.
2. Numeracy- Prodigy based on the targets you picked in class.
3. Cross cutting themes- draw a labelled diagram of your '2040' (can be a room or a building or a city)
CHALLENGE- choose 1 of the PE activities and every night do the activity for 1 minute and keep a record of how many you do :)
Homework for Thursday 7th November (Homework is on the classroom)
1. Prodigy- I have set up a prodigy assignment based on your current numeracy group which is revisiting your metal addition and subtraction skills. There is also a word problem sheet to complete- do this via class assignments remember to submit.
2. Literacy- we are going to be looking at advertising as part of a Community Cafe afternoon so can you find an example of a leaflet/poster/flyer for an event that we can discuss/share.
3. Discuss last weeks spelling pattern and some of the rules that we discussed in class.
4. HWB- since it is Guy Fawkes this week, please enjoy the fireworks and remember to stay safe :)
Notes-
School trip on Wednesday to the cinema, remember to bring a snack/drink to eat while we are there.

1. KAT- please share with someone at home and complete the pupil comment as discussed in class, also please have your grown up complete the home comment.
2. Literacy- we are looking at newspaper articles this week in big writing please find a news article online or paper to share with the class.
Spelling- see classroom
3. Mental maths- have a look at daily 10 focusing on add/sub choose a level that you want to work on and play for 15 minutes. (5 minutes each night).I have also updated prodigy with another addition/subtraction targets.
4. We have still to post our first class tweet what should it be??

Also complete a 'wow cloud'

Basic facts practise and practise your focus times table and get someone at home to quiz you.
CCT
Research and find out if there are any Scottish animals that are affected by climate change.

Literacy- In big writing this week we will be writing a letter from another country as explained in class.
Can you find the following information to help you with your letter: research 2 landmarks; food; geography and 5 facts.
Numeracy- record a numeracy strategy of your choice using Padlet
Spelling- make sure you know what the following words mean: climate, global, equator, deforestation, pollution
