Welcome!
A big welcome to all our new nursery children who started this week and welcome back to all our returners. We have had a super busy first week and there has already been lots of learning going on. Here are a few of our pictures -
Numeracy ...
We've been using our imagination and solving problems.....
And lots of literacy...
Another week over and everyone is getting used to being back in a routine. Those of you who were with us last year may have noticed some staff changes. We waved a sad goodbye to Mrs Robinson who was with us for 6 years. We are missing her but she's having a fab time taking a well earned retirement and spending lots of time walking in the hills with her husband.
We would also like to give a huge Inshes welcome to Mrs Bryson who has joined us from a nursery in Ballachulish, where she worked for 18 years. We're delighted to have her with us.

We have had a busy week playing in the garden engaging in STEM experiences, learning about floating, sinking and discovering forces. Pushing and pulling vehicles through water, rolling the tyres up and down hills and exploring magnets.
We have been busy with numeracy using different resources, identifying numbers, counting and learning to recognise number patterns. We spent some time jumping in puddles and measuring how high the splashes could go.
In art and design we have been busy making pictures from loose parts.
"I'm making minecraft, enderman and creepers."
The children were shown how to use the emotional check-ins this week and were identifying their feelings.
We even made a slide out of a cardboard box and co-operated with each other to make it work....
