Blazer Families,
Summer is quickly coming to an end, and MHS is starting to feel like MHS again. Teachers and staff are back in the building getting classrooms ready, our student-athletes are hard at work at practices, and we are preparing to welcome our students back through the doors. A new school year is almost here!
I hope you have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer and have been able to spend some time with family and friends.
I am incredibly excited to welcome our students back to Millbrook High School and begin my first school year as Principal. Having had the opportunity to serve Millbrook over the past several years as a teacher, coach, and Dean of Students, I am grateful to continue serving a community that has come to mean so much to me.
Our faculty and staff have been working hard to prepare for the year ahead. We are excited to welcome back our returning students and extend a special welcome to our incoming ninth graders and all students and families who are new to MHS.
As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, our focus is on making MHS a place where students feel supported, challenged, and connected. We want our students to get involved, build strong relationships, try new things, and take advantage of the many opportunities available to them. Most importantly, we want our students to feel that they belong here and are proud to be Blazers.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as your principal and look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families throughout the year. There is a lot to be excited about at Millbrook High School, and I am ready to get started!

Our ninth graders will not be the only new faces at Millbrook High School this September! We are excited to welcome several new professionals to the MHS team for the 2026-27 school year. Please join me in giving them a warm Blazer welcome!

Please CLICK HERE to access the MCSD website containing the Annual Notifications, Technology Use, and Code of Conduct forms. These forms must be completed for all students. Please be sure to complete and submit any section that includes a “SUBMIT” button.
Students’ schedules are now available through the Parent Portal in SchoolTool. If you have not already signed up,
please follow the SCHOOL TOOL link.

Attendance Matters
Regular attendance and arriving to school on time are important parts of being successful at Millbrook High School. When students are here each day, they are not only keeping up with their classes, but also staying connected with their teachers, classmates, activities, and the MHS community.
As we begin a new school year, we ask families to help us reinforce the importance of being in school and being on time. Missing even a couple of days each month can add up quickly and make it more difficult for students to stay on track.
At Millbrook, we want every student to have the opportunity to be successful. We will continue to monitor attendance closely and work with students and families when concerns arise. Our goal is to provide support, address barriers, and help our students develop strong habits that will benefit them well beyond high school.

Back-to-School Reset
September is the perfect time
for a fresh start!
After a summer of sleeping in, relaxing, and taking a break from school, getting back into a routine can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Here are some simple ways to make the transition easier:

As we get ready for the start of the school year, families can access the MHS school supply list below. Supplies are organized by course and department, so please take a few minutes to review what your student may need for their classes.

We appreciate our families reinforcing these expectations at home.
Our goal is to keep phones away during the school day so students can focus on learning, connect with one another, and be fully present at MHS.
Cell Phones will also NOT be allowed during the day and should remain off and in students lockers. Check out the new NYS legislation distraction-free school law

SchoolTool is Millbrook’s Student Information System and is an important resource for families throughout the school year. Through the Parent Portal, families can access schedules, grades, attendance, and other academic information. SchoolTool can be accessed from a computer, tablet, mobile browser, or through the SchoolTool mobile app.
If you already have a Parent Portal account, you can access it using the link below. If you do not have an account, please contact the MHS Main Office for assistance setting one up. To help protect student information, a photo ID is required when creating an account.

We strongly encourage all MHS families to have an active Parent Portal account and check it regularly throughout the school year.
Reporting an Absence
If your child will be absent, arriving late, or leaving school early, please be sure to let us know.
For all attendance-related matters, families should email:
mhs.attendance@millbrookcsd.org
When emailing, please include your child’s:
first and last name, grade level, and the reason for the absence, late arrival, or early dismissal.
Using our attendance email helps us keep accurate records and makes sure the Main Office receives the information in a timely manner.

Pupil Personnel Services
Our Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Office is excited to have the new school year underway!
As we move through the year, we would like to remind families that if you receive a consent form for an evaluation, please sign and return it to the PPS Office as soon as possible. Returning these forms promptly helps our team complete evaluations within the required timelines and ensures we can continue providing students with the appropriate support.
