Music Notes Assembly

by: Oscar Cancino

On February 14th, 2024, there was an assembly inside the auditorium about vaping and smoking. The two performers were named Mr. D and Mr. Q. They both rapped songs about not vaping and smoking.  One song included the words of “I will not fall for the industry tricks' '. They explained that a tiny bit of fentanyl is potentially lethal to a person. The assembly was hosted by Mrs. Stenke and San Mateo County. I spoke with Mrs. Stenke and asked why they did the assembly she said,  "Taylor is trying to address the topic of students trying things like tobacco products and the fact that vaping has been becoming accessible to younger people and it has become a topic that taylor has been trying to educate students on and trying to make sure students make good choices and students will hopefully listen to the assemblies.”

Personally, I liked the assembly assembly but I think they could have used better lyrics for some songs. Overall in conclusion, I would rate the assembly 8/10. I liked how they made a way to explain vaping and smoking in a non boring way.  If they did the same thing but without the rapping Students will not have liked the assembly as much.

What's Your Favorite School Lunch?

by: Gabriela Vazquez Vela Berlanga , Jaeda Tiongco, and Emma Borossa

Our project for the Bulldog News was to ask students what their favorite school lunch was to know the students opinion about, which ones are the best.

Most people say that their favorite school lunch is pizza, which is excellent. The pizza is a classic, and almost all Taylor students like it.  Many people also said that they like cheesy pull apart, which is good, too. People also said the pasta is delicious in the school.

These findings not only reveal the collective culinary preferences of our student body but also highlight the quality of our school's food offerings. It's a reminder of the variety and care put into each meal served. As we wrap up our report, we extend a hearty thank you to the hardworking cafeteria staff. Their efforts to provide enjoyable meals do not go unnoticed, and we're all the more grateful for it.
