Unit Summary: Eureka Math² – 5th Grade

The 5th-grade Eureka Math² curriculum is organized into six coherent modules, each building on the last to develop deep conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills:

Module 1 – Place Value Concepts for Multiplication and Division with Whole Numbers

Module 2 – Addition and Subtraction with Fractions
Focusing on fractions and division, students learn to add and subtract fractions, whole numbers, and mixed numbers while representing solutions on line plots. Google Sites

Module 3 – Multiplication and Division with Fractions

Module 4 – Place Value Concepts for Decimal Operations

Module 5 – Addition and Multiplication with Area and Volume
In this module, students classify two-dimensional figures, calculate the area of rectangles (including with fractional side lengths), explore volume concepts, and apply formulas such as V=l×w×hV = l \times w \times hV=l×w×h and V=base×heightV = \text{base} \times \text{height}V=base×height.
