A makerspace is generally a place that is shared by many people in a common location where people (especially students) have an opportunity to engage in unstructured play. Often, there is a promotion of technology, computers, or maybe engineering, but makerspaces can also include very creative and artistic pursuits. Makerspaces are wonderful because they are only limited by one's imagination - the goal is to promote students' curiosity, asking of questions, and engage in creative pursuits!
