This website is a great resource for parents in grades pre-k-2. There are many resources, articles and videos for parents covering various literacy topics.
Sight words are words that students recognize automatically. Students will progress through these lists at varying rates. Typically, kindergarten covers lists A & B. Grade 1 covers lists B-F. Second grade covers lists G &H.
Words Their Way is a developmental spelling, phonics, and vocabulary program. This informational brochure explains how Words their Way promotes word study in the classroom.
This bookmark can be printed and used at home. One side of the bookmark has questions you can use to support your child with figuring out tricky words. The other side has questions for discussing books with your child.
