We all know what it's like to walk into a new place not knowing a single person. It's intimidating. Hannah came to visit Milestone for the first time by herself and ended up sitting in the commons once she checked her kids in. Kourtney serves in the Guest Suite and noticed Hannah had a guest bag. She went over to meet her and Hannah opened up. She shared that it was her first time visiting and she was feeling nervous about entering the worship center alone. Kourtney took that opportunity to encourage her and walk her inside to find a seat with some other people so that she wouldn't be alone. 

This simple act of kindness eased Hannah's anxiety and created a lasting impression of genuine care and love. This is what we get to do!

Samantha came to Milestone for the first time and walked into the Guest Suite, unsure what to expect. As she stepped into the room, Ray "went first" and approached Samantha, welcoming her in. At this moment, Samantha said she felt "at home." By the end of service, Ray had connected with Samantha and introduced her to some of her friends. They all ended up exchanging numbers and went to lunch that same day! Wow- Samantha walked into the Guest Suite alone, without knowing anyone, and she left with friends and spiritual family. Isn't that amazing?! Samantha did not just attend church that day. She experienced spiritual family, came back the following weekend, and is now connected at Milestone. 

Samantha's story shows us the opportunity that we get as part of the Guest Experience team. Just like Ray, we get to help people feel welcomed, connected and loved from the moment they walk in.  

The Christensen family has been praying for this moment. A moment when they could walk into a church and it feel like home. When this family walked into Milestone for the first time, they were welcomed in by our Guest Experience team and experienced a weekend they will never forget. This family was impacted by the love and intentionality shown by our team, and within a couple of weeks, they all went through the Growth Track and jumped right into serving! Jim, Marie, & Hannah are all now on the Guest Experience Team and experiencing spiritual family with the same people that welcomed them in on their very first visit. Incredible!
