Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to 8th grade math! I am thrilled to be one of your teachers for the 2020-2021 school year. 8th grade will be a year of many challenges and rewards. This year we will cover all of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) required by the Texas Education Agency for 8th graders. Not only will we cover new TEKS, but we will continue to build on prior knowledge. My goal is to have fun in class while working hard. Each assignment has a purpose and is expected to be completed. A tip from the teacher; stay organized and be responsible. These are 2 things that will not only help you through the 8th grade, but prepare you for high school! I am looking forward to working closely with each of you. I know that by working together - teacher, student, and parent - this year will be a success.
