Milan Robotics is a fourth year Middle School Club. This club is competing in the FIRST Technical Challenge League. As a team, it is costly to register for competitions. It costs over $2,200 per robot kit, and we have two robots. We still need tools and computers for programming with coding apps.
To advertise our teams, the media group will design shirts, buttons, signs, presentation boards and more. Every donation helps us get closer to building a more competitive robot . Imagine this: spending over $2,200 to register and get the kit, plus 40 kids that need shirts, all about $3, and pins and buttons, all about $2 each, and after all that, you need to register both of the robots for competitions that cost $300 per robot. As you can see, it all adds up. That is over $5,000 per season.
Some material costs are:
$40 dollars per driver wheel (remember, for a robot to operate, you need four)
$84 dollars per omni wheel (optional)
and much, much more
The Milan Robotics is a self-supporting organization that is not funded by the school. The donations help us by supplying us with tools, computers for programming, as well as developing S.T.E.A.M and team-working skills for the students. If you just donate just $10, it will help tremendously. Thank you!
And as everyone knows, these are hard times. This is especially true for small groups like us. We were forced to take all of our supplies out of the school when COVID hit, and we are having trouble finding things. We also need to replace and update things. Every penny helps and is appreciated.
