We are currently looking for doulas that are based in the Central Valley, with an emphasis on Fresno County. In the coming months we will have the opportunity to expand thru out California.
Mighty is looking for doulas who are open to community members that are low income, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and willing to be trauma trained by Mighty. Currently, as an organization, we “specialize” in pregnant youth (under 22) however with the opening of our doula coalition we are expecting a wide range of ages in our future community members.
As a part of our coalition Mighty provides the following services for our coalition members:
General Liability and professional liability insurance coverage
Medi-cal/Medicaid billing for covered services in California.
Direct birth services referrals to our affiliated doulas
Credentialing, contract negotiation, and management with all contracting insurance organizations in California (CalViva/HealthNet, Kaiser, Anthem, etc).
Services structure and templates for community member communication (you can add your own name and personal doula logo to all our templates).
Assisting in referrals with community partnered services like massage therapy, acupuncture, reiki services, etc.
Annual training for all our doulas, as required by California, at no charge to affiliated doulas and interns.
Access to medical billing for births from outside Mighty’s referral at a 15% billing charge on collected claims
Coalition Levels
Currently all of our available coalition interns and affiliated doulas are paid as "per diem" 1099 contractors. We can assist with taxes at the end of the year, however we are not CPAs and suggest discussing with tax professionals if you have questions about 1099 contracts
