This summer we are using READsquared to track our reading. Children who track their reading using the READsquared app or website can earn cool prizes including brag tags, books, dinosaur "lego" sets, Pokémon cards, stickers, squishmallows and more!
Starting July 1st you can sign up through READsquared and start tracking your reading.
Any child who reads Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne this summer is welcome to attend a party on August 4th from 5-6pm.
We will eat food, create crafts and play fun games related to the book!
The event will be held on the library lawn & will move indoors in the event of rain.
Children under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
RSVP is required to attend the book club party. You must submit your RSVP by Friday July 31st to attend.

Join us on the library lawn and in the children's room on July 1st between 4-7pm to sign up for summer reading, get information for our book club, sign up for limited attendance programs, make dino crafts, and watch a dinosaur race!
In the event of inclement weather, outdoor activities will move indoors.
Every week new craft kits will be available for pickup at the reference desk. Each kit contains all the supplies needed to make the week's craft.
Craft kits are sponsored by Moore Land Surveying. We would like to thank Moore Land Surveying for their generous donation toward supplying craft kits to children in the community free of charge.

Lemonade on the Lawn
Every Wednesday @ 10:30am & 5:30pm July 2nd-September 3rd
Join us on the library lawn for stories, lemonade, and a snack. Additional activities will be provided by community partners after select sessions.
June 8th Until Gone: Tiny Art Kits
Pick up a kit with a tiny canvas, decorate it however you would like (within the supplied rules) and then return it before the deadline to have your artwork included in our Tiny Art Show!
July 1st 4-7pm: Summer Reading Kick Off Prehistoric Party
Learn more about summer reading, sign up, get registered for limited attendance programs, learn about the book club, watch a dinosaur race and create dino art! In the event of inclement weather the event will be moved indoors.
July 7th 5-7pm: Dinosaur Disco Dance Party
Get ready to dance! Little dinosaurs (ages 3-12) are invited to join us for a disco themed dance party! Come dressed in your dino and/or disco best and get ready to party like it's 197.0 Ma!
July 10th 12-1pm: Teddy Bear Picnic
Our classic annual event! Bring along a stuffed animal friend and pack a lunch or a snack to eat on the library lawn. We will read stories about teddy bears, listen to music, and play outside.
July 14th 10am-8pm: Dinosaur Scavenger Hunt
Stop by the library to go on a dinosaur scavenger hunt! Learn some cool dino facts as you hunt through the library for prehistoric reptiles! When you've found them all, turn in your sheet for prizes!
July 17th 6-7:30pm: Tiny Art Show
Check out some art made by community members, enjoy snacks and have fun! Some artwork will be available for purchase with the proceeds benefitting the library!
★July 21st 5-6pm: Dino Dig
Jr. Paleontologists are invited to join us at the library to dig up dinosaur fossils! We will learn about how dinosaur fossils get into museums and dig our own dinos. Registration required.
July 28th 1-2pm: Digital Dinosaurs- Technology from Before You Were Born
Remember record players, cassette tapes, Gameboys, and other technology from bygone years? To today's children they may as well be dinosaurs! Expose your kids to some old tech at this fun program!
★August 4th 5-6pm: Dinosaurs Before Dark Book Club Party
Children who have read Dinosaurs Before Dark are invited to attend this book club party with snacks, games, and fun! Registration is Required!
★August 11th 5-6pm: Sew Your Own Dinosaur
Learn to sew your own dinosaur by hand! Children will learn some basic hand sewing stitches and create a stuffed felt dinosaur. Registration is Required.
August 18th 5-6pm: Little Dino Sensory Time
Young dinosaurs and dino lovers (under 6) are invited to join us for a fun dinosaur themed sensory experience in the library Children's Room.
August 25th 5-6pm: Dinosaur Egg Painting
Children are invited to join us on the library lawn to paint their own dinosaur egg (rock) to take home! We will also create a paper version of the dinosaur that we think is in the fossilized "egg"!
September 1st 5-6pm: Back-to-School Bash
Children & their grown ups are invited to join us for a celebration of Back-to-School at this fun program! We will decorate supplies, make buttons for backpacks, read back to school stories & more!
