Acquaint the student with the physiology and management of breastfeeding/chestfeeding, positioning, assessing and remedying problems of breastfeeding/chestfeeding.

Human Lactation teaches student midwives the importance of breastfeed, as well as the physiological process that takes place to produce breast milk. Students are equipped with the knowledge on breastfeeding initiation, problems and support. Students are encouraged to dig deep into their studies and create professional client handouts and practice guidelines.
