HIST 1010: History of Midwifery

Credits 1

The purpose of this course is to give students an overview of the history of midwifery, with culminating in an idea/project to instigate

It is the hope of the author of this class that you understand how the past has led us to the point in the evolution of midwifery we stand at today. Knowing where we have come from is vital as we navigate, promote and preserve midwifery through the tipping point of childbearing care we stand at now and into the future. It is also a goal of this course to help you think creatively and constructively. Not to tell you want to think but rather bring new ideas and concepts to you in your life, that you may bring them to your circle.
