ASVAB Test
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world.
As an aptitude test, the ASVAB measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success.
The ASVAB also provides you with career information for various civilian and military occupations and is an indicator for success in future endeavors whether you choose to go to college, vocational school, or a military career

Military Academies
There are five service academies. Entrance to these schools is highly competitive. Applicants for every academy but the Coast Guard’s need a nomination from the vice president or a member of Congress. Students attend the service academies for free. In return, they agree to spend the next several years as military officers.
