Last session we asked everyone in our community about their values and what they hoped for their children at Bonnyrigg. We did a survey, asked for feedback at our Learner Conversations and explored values together at one of our BOAT sessions.
Here are our refreshed Vision, Values and Aims. We have started talking about these in school and classes have been challenged to get creative and design visuals to be used in posters/displays for around the building.
The Vision statement for Bonnyrigg Primary School and ELC is:
"Developing skills and knowledge that shape our future"
Our core values are:
Kindness, Fun and Respect
Our Aims
At Bonnyrigg Primary School we aspire to:
Foster an ethos of kindness and respect in which all learners feel safe and happy.
Embrace a nurturing and inclusive approach in which we celebrate individuality and have the highest expectations for all leaners.
Value effort and collaboration to harness children’s full potential through a challenging and child-led curriculum which enables all to succeed and achieve.
Work effectively with our learning community partners and families to develop confident citizens ready to make a difference in the world.
