What will I Learn?

• Travel and Tourism is an introductory qualification in travel and tourism. It develops the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed for work in the travel and tourism industry.

• Skills to become effective job-seekers and employees.

• Skills to deal effectively with all aspects of customer care and customer service in travel and tourism.

• The product knowledge and skills to deal effectively with customer enquiries in relation to travel and tourism in Scotland, the rest of the United Kingdom and Worldwide.
  
  

What could be helpful?

• Demonstrating a good knowledge and understanding of core topics in BGE Social Studies

• Achieving Level 3 and beginning to work towards Level 4 in BGE Social Subjects.

• A keen interest in travelling and trends in both local and worldwide tourism 

• If you are confident in English this will also help you succeed with this course.
  
  

Is there is an Exam?

• There is no exam for Level 5 Travel and Tourism

• This course is not graded 

• During this course you will have a number of progress checks throughout the year to ensure coursework is completed to the level required to achieved this qualifivation.
  
  

What comes next?

• You may which to study a  course which allows you to  develop the skills gained in this course.  This might include a Modern Language,  Computing Science, a Social Subject or the FA Business Skills.

• After this course, you could pursue further study in hospitaliy and tourism at College or explore vocational options like Modern Apprenticeships.
