What will I Learn?
You will learn how to plan, implement and evaluate aspects of Sports Development.
You will learn how to deliver fundamental skills within their plans to younger age groups (Primary/BGE).
You will learn how to Coach, Participate and Referee effectively.
Finally, you will plan, organise and deliver an event within the community.
What skills will I develop?
To develop and understand the current thinking and theory of Sports Development and how it impacts the local community.
You will develop various skills such as leadership, responsibility, organisation, communication, collaboration and research skills throughout the course.
What could be helpful?
Higher PE.
A strong interest in sporting activities.
Participation in both practical and theory lessons.
Pupils with the ability/confidence to lead others through activities.
Is there is an Exam?
No this is an internally assessed pass/fail course. Pupils will be assessed in 2 units:
Sports: Activity and Participation Opportunities in the Community
Sports: Investigate Activity Development Opportunities in an Organisation
For each course there are minimum requirements that you must meet to pass the course
