As you know, with each new school year, are many new things. One of the first things returning students, staff and families may notice is a new look and feel of the Monday and Special Edition Communiques. We are using a new on-line format this year that will make it easier to read and navigate on all different sized digital devices.
A significant change--each week's Communique will now include five main pages that are linked in the upper right corner:

Midland PS is excited to announce our District's brand new Podcast entitled ...
MPS CONNECTIONS
MPS Connections will be hosted by Associate Superintendent, Brian Brutyn. Each podcast will include different guests discussing many different, timely topics for MPS Stakeholders.
MPS Connections will be released twice a month--the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month, with the exception of the four months when one podcast will be released (June, July, December & April).
Our inaugural MPS Connections will be released this Thursday, July 21.

Congratulations to Marvin M. Benchley, who is a proud 2021 Graduate of Midland High School!
Please join us in sending our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Marvin Benchley, who recently received his Midland High School Diploma. Under ‘Public Act 181’ (Operation Recognition), a high school diploma can be awarded by a Michigan public school district to an honorably discharged veteran, if, before graduation from high school, the military veteran enlisted in or was drafted into the armed forces of the United States during World War II or the Korean or Vietnam conflicts. Mr. Benschley attended Midland High from 1965-1967. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1970 during the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Benchley's family celebrated this exciting milestone at a family bbq during the 4th of July weekend.

Thank you to the Midland Lions Club for their very generous $5,000 grant!
With these funds, Midland Public Schools purchased many great books from which the elementary and middle school summer school students will be able to choose. Students will be able to take these wonderful books home and enjoy them all summer.

Congratulations to the HH Dow High Trap Team that recently qualified for the National Competition in Mason, MI. This talented team will show both as a team and individually. The team's coach is Tim Chisolm.
