Class Overview
Middle School Social Studies Overview:
Social studies focuses on developing students' understanding of the world's cultures, history, geography, and civic responsibilities. The curriculum covers ancient civilizations, world history, and American history, tracing the development of societies and their impact on the modern world. Students learn about global cultures, economies, governments, and their interconnections. Additionally, civic education emphasizes democratic principles, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, and the importance of active participation in society. The objective is to cultivate informed and responsible global citizens.
About Me
Hello! My name is Mrs. Pace, and I'm so excited to be your social studies and science teacher! Some of you may recognize me as Miss Good, however, I got married in 2023! I am a mom to three-Logan, Mia, and Mason (one of my own and two step kiddos), and have two dogs- Remi (Remington Beatrice) and Gus (Angus Cowpie), whom I love to spend time with. In my free time, you can find me in the garden, outdoors, cooking, or doing woodwork and craft projects with Mr. Pace for fun.
I am beyond thrilled to teach social studies, and to get to see all of your smiling faces every day!
This year will be full of fun, lots of learning, and chances to grow every day. I can’t wait to see all we accomplish and look forward to fantastic school year!
