Welcome!

I am so excited to be your social studies teacher this year! We have a lot to cover this year and a very different type of learning to do, so I hope we can work together and be flexible this 2020-2021 school year! I hope that you will leave class at the end of this year loving history! History is cool!

About Me

Hello! My name is Donia Mills and I am currently a 6th and 7th social studies teacher. I absolutely love teaching ancient history and tend to get pretty excited about teaching certain units. I attended Rutgers University and received a B.S. in Environmental Policy and attended the University of Phoenix for my Master's in Elementary Education. I began working for Middle Township Public Schools in 2004 and have also taught first grade and 6th grade literacy.

I love spending time with friends and family and I have three sons. My oldest is a freshman in college, my middle son is a junior in high school, and my youngest is in 8th grade here at MTMS. I'm sure you'll hear all about them this year! I absolutely love to travel and have been to 38 of 50 states and 3 continents. I have a lot more places to see, as soon as travel is safe again. I also love everything Disney. I'm an avid reader and I read a lot of middle grade books so I can share recommendations with you!
