Thank you for your interest in the Middletown High School South Child Development Program "Little Eagles Preschool."

 The Little Eagles Preschool is open to Middletown residents who have children three and four years old.  This unique program is designed to introduce High School Students to gaining an understanding in how young children grow, develop and learn. Students will become familiar with the ages and stages of development as they are introduced to roles of teacher and caregiver in a Preschool Classroom. 

 High School Students create developmentally appropriate lessons and activities to teach preschool children  in Social-Emotional, Cognitive, Language, Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art and Physical(gross & fine motor) Development. 

The preschool environment is set up into learning centers for planned purposeful play experiences in : math, science, music, dramatic play, kitchen, reading, blocks, art, social studies  and writing. The High School Students align the lessons to The New Jersey Department of Education: Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards and Preschool Curriculum Objectives.

Learning is hands-on, engaging and fosters a love of learning where the student to child ratio is one to one or better.

Preschool opens in October and runs weekly 

Monday-Thursday

No Preschool on Friday

Registration for the 2024-2025 is OPEN!!

 In order to be eligible for the preschool program your child must be three years old on or before October 1, 2024.  

Children must be Fully Potty Trained!! Middletown Residents Only!

Enrollment is  created in the order the applications are received.  All applications must include a copy of your child's immunization records to date. Completed registration can be mailed to the MHSS address on the application or dropped off at the Main Office at MHSS.  

Registration fills up quickly and you may be put on a waiting list.
