Cohorts of 25 will be accepted. A lottery will be implemented if more than 25 applications are received by the deadline. On a predetermined day, a public lottery will be held to determine admission to the Dual/Concurrent Enrollment Academy. Only 25 students will be accepted into the Academy. All fully complete applications that meet the eligibility requirements, received prior to the established cut-off date, will be eligible for participation in the admission lottery. At the lottery, only new spaces will be lotteried.
Lottery Procedures
1. Purpose of the lottery
a. The lottery is a fair way to select students based on drawing names from submitted applications.
b. The lottery is an open process and the parent or guardian of each child who has submitted an application must be informed of the date and time of the lottery.
c. All applications received prior to the established cut-off date will be eligible for participation in the admission lottery.
d. At the conclusion of the lottery, each participant in the lottery must be assigned a number reflecting the student's place on the list of accepted students or on the waiting list.
2. Lottery Process – before lottery day
a. Parents of potential students fill out applications as per the instructions and deadlines posted on the school website. No exceptions.
b. Only fully completed applications will be considered.

4. Lottery Process
a. Lotteries are held after application due date, as posted on the school website.
b. Application numbers are drawn randomly, i.e., manually or from a computerized random number generator, such: http://www.random.org/sequences/
c. Once all available seats are taken, officials begin drawing for the wait list.
d. Families who are admitted will be sent letters of intent. Families will have one week from the date of the lottery to return their letters of intent. Families who do not return the letter of intent by the end of period will be dropped from the academy’s rolls and the space will be filled from the waitlist.
e. If a family, for whatever reason, chooses not to accept the space, they will be withdrawn from the waitlist.
5. Wait Lists
a. If more students apply than there are seats available, then the school will create a wait list based on the lottery draw.
b. A wait list of names is kept until the start of the school year.
