A dynamic team of educators and community members at Middleborough High School have come together to redesign our College and Career Readiness programs to ensure that all students will graduate from our school with the skills needed to have a positive impact in this ever-changing global economy and job market. This program is called Future Ready.
Mission : Our goal is to empower students to own their educational path and make connections to what they are learning in the classroom to where they see themselves in the future. Future Ready aims to make learning in the classroom relevant all students. Students will identify both soft and hard skills that will help them become more prepared in order to be successful after graduation.
MyCAP formally starts as students become freshman at the high school. This program takes place during the allotted advisory period in the new schedule that meets twice a month. Here, students will have the opportunity to engage will lessons created by both teachers and guidance counselors. These lessons will provide the framework for students to build Future Ready skills as well reflect on learning experiences throughout their high school career. As students compile artifacts that demonstrate their learning of Future Ready skills, their progress will be stored and be able to be used as reference to better align their placement into high quality internships as well as refine their post secondary plans.
