Evelyn "Eve" Armentrout-Cockayne, a Cincinnati, OH native, is a current high school Junior at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) as a dance major. Her dance journey began at age five at Dance Etc. in Milford, Ohio, where she joined their award-winning competition teams at the age of 7 and quickly became known for her exceptional tap skills. For the past eight years, Eve has consistently excelled in tap solos and duets, earning top placements, judges' awards (including "Most Entertaining"), and numerous titles. At just 15, she showcased her choreographic talent by creating her own Senior Elite Tap solo, which garnered overall placements and accolades throughout the season.

Eve trains weekly in a diverse range of styles, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical/Contemporary, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, and Production. In the 2024-2025 season, she is a member of ten senior elite teams, in addition to competing in a duet and two solos. Eve has a decade of experience in partnering, including advanced lifts and partnering skills, further increasing her versatility as a dancer.  She also shares her passion for dance as an assistant teacher at Dance Etc., working with young tap teams and recreational tap and ballet classes. A dedicated mentor, she participates in the studio's "Team Sibling" program, acting as a role model for younger dancers. Eve has also represented the studio through promotional events, photoshoots, parties, and parades.

In 2022, Eve's dedication to pursuing a career in the arts, lead her to auditioning and landing a spot at SCPA, where she has focused on strengthening her ballet and modern techniques. Having studied ballet since age five and beginning pointe work at eleven, Eve has a solid foundation in classical dance. Her SCPA performance experience includes annual appearances in The Nutcracker and Springfest, along with various other school productions.

Eve continues to build strength and flexibility as she pursues her goal of a professional dance career. She is actively seeking intensive summer training opportunities to further her growth in ballet, network with industry professionals, and enhance her skills.
