My Connection
Every year since I can remember, my mom, brother, cousins, and I would get a Christmas Tree from E.H. Glueck & Co. We could get a blue spruce and strap it on top of our car. After we got the Christmas Tree, we would go to Crown Candy Kitchen for lunch. We no longer get a Christmas Tree now that my brother and I are older, but we still meet our cousins for lunch at Crown Candy Kitchen during the holiday season. Even though we only do half of the tradition, it still holds special memories I have with my family from my childhood.

The blue spruce is native to central and southern Rocky Mountains. They are mainly used for their appearance not for timber. A prime example would be a Christmas Tree. Not only humans use these trees but animals use them as shelter whether it's birds making nests or some type of rodent living its trunk.
