Pitch
The NuSTAR twins discover and photograph high x-ray phenomena, in the form of various exciting animals. The telescope duo reminisce on their tenth birthday about all of their adventures and achievements.
Science
The telescope NuSTAR was launched ten years ago and has since then changed our understanding of the universe through its hard x-ray detection.
With its two telescopes and one mast, it is able to pick up on high energy phenomena such as supermassive black holes, X-ray Binary stars, and supernovas.
Plot
The animation begins with the characters Nu and Star, they are the personifications of the two optical telescope ends of NuSTAR.
The twins explore space together and take pictures of confirmed discoveries by NuStar. (Caldwell 5, Neutron Stars, and Cassiopeia A.) These discoveries are depicted as cosmic animals.
Celebrating their 10th birthday, Nu gives Star a framed photograph from one of their adventures. Star hangs up the photo on the wall and reveals a bunch of photographs with all their other achievements.
We want to celebrate all NuStar has been able to do with 10 years of detecting, documenting and discovering.
