Labor organizers founded organizations that would become Miami’s Movement Ecosystem and over the past quarter-century, the Miami Workers Center and Power U for Social Change have been at the vanguard of advancing social justice and equity in Miami Dade County. From advocating for environmental justice, affordable and safe housing, and workers' rights to fighting against systemic racism and discrimination and for reproductive justice, our work has shaped the face of Miami and has been at the forefront of creating positive change in Miami.

As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we invite you to join us in a theme of homecoming and recommitment. We are losing even more ground in the South – the country's testing ground for the most regressive policies resulting in worker and civil rights abuses that threaten our communities access to safety and their inherent dignity.  This milestone event will not only be a time to reflect on our past achievements but also to look towards the future and recommit ourselves to the work ahead.

Homecoming will serve as a gathering of old and new friends, a reunion of past and present members, and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to building a stronger, more united Miami-Dade County, Florida, and the South.
