STAY IN SCHOOL
2021-2022
We are excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year. The health and safety of our students and staff are a priority of Miamisburg City Schools. We are waiting on health and safety guidance from Governor DeWine, The Ohio Department of Health and The Ohio Department of Education for the start of school. As soon as the guidance is released from these offices, the Miamisburg City Schools' District Administration and Board of Education will collaborate with stakeholders to create guidance for our district and release it to families.
On February 9, 2021, Governor DeWine requested all school districts release a plan outlining the processes and plans to assist students in advancing and closing any learning gaps that may be present because of the coronavirus pandemic. The plan includes how students' needs will be identified, resources and strategies to meet those needs, partnerships and professional development plans. Below is the link to Miamisburg's Learning Recovery & Extended Learning Plan. This plan is flexible and will be updated as needed with any new resources, strategies, partnerships, and professional development plans.
Ohio local school districts are required to develop a Safe Return to In-Person Instruction Plan in order to receive ARP ESSER Funds. Miamisburg City Schools are fortunate to continue the Stay in School Plan that was in place during the 2020-2021 school year. The 2021-2022 school year will be a continuation of our 2020-2021 Stay in School Plan with students attending in-person five days a week. Click here to access the 2021-2022 school calendar. The district has developed a plan to safely stay in school and utilize the ARP ESSER funds in alignment with the Strategic Planning Process in order to meet students’ academic, social, and emotional needs as well as meeting district and community needs.
