Chemistry Education Research (CER)
Graduate Program
Unique Features of Miami's CER Graduate Program
As with most CER programs, our Ph.D. students take courses in traditional chemistry disciplines and conduct dissertation research. What makes our program unique are the CER courses taught in the chemistry department by CER faculty and the cognate research projects focused on improving undergraduate laboratory instruction.
Research Groups in CER
Ellen Yezierski conducts research on inquiry, teacher change, mechanics of instruction, and high school teacher professional development.
