I'm a middle school science teacher with a passion for adventure, nature, & hands-on learning! I'm currently enrolled as a Masters student in Miami University's Global Field Program, traveling the world to promote global conservation. My mission as a teacher is to help students find curiosity about the world around them and pursue their own passions - whatever they may be!
Currently, I am the school program specialist at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Through the years I have had the privilege to teach both in the formal classroom setting and in various informal settings-specializing in science, environmental, and conservation education. I am working towards my Master's degree in the Project Dragonfly AIP Program at Miami University, Ohio.
I am a mom of three always looking for fun activities for the whole family. Time in between work and school is all about the family! Using this time in a meaningful way is a top priority.
Originally trained as a marine biologist, I discovered teaching and am now an informal educator and the teen volunteer coordinator at a zoo. I love exploring new places, and trying out the local food. I'm currently working towards my Master's degree in the GFP Program at Miami University, Ohio. My constant goal is to support my kids in any way I can, while promoting self-accountability and environmental stewardship.
I am a high school science teacher with a passion for chemistry and am also a master's student at Miami University. I enjoy extending my learning and helping mold the minds of our future generations. Inquiry learning is a fantastic way to extend the minds of our youth and allow them a voice and being accountable in their education.
