Taking part in this study required me to step into a more active leadership role while working with students from different years and academic backgrounds. I was responsible for coordinating schedules and keeping everyone aligned, which meant organizing meeting times, setting clear expectations, and ensuring that our progress stayed on track. Managing these logistical aspects pushed me to be more intentional and structured in how I led.
Participating in this study strengthened my ability to think critically in a research-focused context. I was required to carefully evaluate information, interpret findings, and approach data with a questioning mindset rather than taking results at face value. This pushed me to be more deliberate in how I analyzed sources, identified patterns, and drew conclusions, ensuring that my work was grounded in evidence and sound reasoning.
Through this study, students from a range of undergraduate years and diverse academic backgrounds came together in a collaborative environment that emphasized shared learning and mutual support. Working across differences in experience and perspective allowed each individual’s unique strengths and abilities to surface more clearly, fostering a deeper appreciation for the value each person brings to a team. This process demonstrated that effective collaboration is not just about dividing tasks, but about actively leveraging one another’s skills, communicating openly, and adapting collectively to challenges.
