NACE Competencies 

Through this research initiative I have explored career and self-development by examining issues that are not only portrayed in dystopian media, but ones that also affect society at large each day. This project has changed how I view myself as an individual within a rapidly advancing world, and how I hope to make a meaningful impact as I approach the workforce. 

This research project has provided experience in communication via oral presentations and written research essays. I feel this project has significantly helped hone my communication skills, and specifically improved my confidence in defending a research topic. 

The research process of developing a claim, utilizing primary , secondary, and tertiary sources, and defending a thesis has enhanced my critical thinking skills. This project has fostered my ability to discern and analyze information to support a subject of interest.
