Key Findings:
2nd graders received with an LI had more discipline slips by a significant amount (Ross et al., 2007).
Students without a LI group: n=47 had 20 discipline slips total: ~0.43 discipline slips per student
Students with an LI Group: n=39 had 53 discipline slips total: ~1.4 discipline slips per student
Students with Pragmatic Language Impairment (PLI) had more behavior problems than students without (Ketelaars et al., 2010).
SLPs are not trained to handle the behavior problems that are displayed in children with an LI (Chow et al., 2022).
Chow et al. divided the 18 behaviors mentioned in their survey into four categories and averaged the numbers in the responses.
