There is a growing interest in electrochemistry, from electrifying large-scale synthesis of chemicals, to developing the next generation of batteries (beyond lithium). In this course, we will lay the fundamentals for this processes, and learn about the electrochemical reactions from the view of thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport. This course will also discuss applications in lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, as well as supercapacitors.
