NACE Competencies

Teamwork: This project was a large collaborative effort between undergraduates of different backgrounds. This has taught us how to utilize each person’s strengths and rely on each other to help solve problems and unexpected challenges. 

Communication: Given the collaborative nature of this project, communication with each other and other members of our lab was critical. Whether it was while coordinating our own schedules, scheduling others, working together to analyze data, or talking to each other while running experiments, our communication skills improved greatly as a result of this project. 

Professionalism: In this project, accuracy and clarity in the data and the way it was interpreted was of the upmost importance. We needed to hold ourselves accountable to show up and collaborate to further the team’s and the project’s goals. By staying organized and prepared for each section of the project, the team was able to create a dependable and detailed oriented environment.
