Did you know that there are around 3,600 native bee species in the United States (Xerces Society, n.d.)? Did you know that bees are not the only insect pollinators? Flies, wasps, beetles, and even ants can act as pollinators too (Xerces Society, n.d.)! In New York State, there are 450 species of insect pollinator and, unfortunately, up to 60% of them are in danger of local extinction (Schlesinger & White, 2023). Luckily, there are things we can do to help our local pollinators! Check out the page links below to learn more about what you can do to help save our pollinators!
