Society of Women Engineers Chapter
SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders. Here at Miami, our SWE chapter provides members with opportunities and resources to serve our kick-butt sisterhood of women engineers. We hold academic, career-oriented, service, and social events for our members.
There are over 400 women in the College of Engineering and Computing and about 50 of those women are members of the Miami University SWE Chapter.
Mission Statement: Empower women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.
