My experience at the Cincinnati Art Museum has provided valuable opportunities for professional and personal growth. Through curriculum development, co-leading and teaching activities, and generating solutions to ongoing problems, I’ve developed several key career readiness competencies that align with the NACE framework.
I worked closely with a team of four other camp Instructors. In order to keep our activities running smoothly, we were in constant communication, able to adjust and better our activities in real time.
I developed my critical thinking skills while creating lessons, activities, and curriculum for camp. I created connections between galleries and artworks to hands-on, approachable ideas for young campers.
I took initiative by creating new gallery activities in my second year of summer camp and focusing on ways to increase child engagement. Additionally, I handled weekly parent communication through email.
