After seven semesters working with the Yezierksi group, I have had the opportunity to engage in chemistry education research through the YouTube project. My research explores common features of chemistry-related YouTube videos and evaluates their impact on learning outcomes through the lens of cognitive learning theory and Mayer’s multimedia principles.
Notable accomplishments in research include an oral presentation at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2025 conference, a poster presentation at the ACS Spring 2024, and poster presentations at three undergraduate research conferences in Miami. I am in the process of preparing a manuscript that presents the latest findings and practical recommendations, which form the basis of this poster.
My research experience has developed my competencies in theories of learning and application of theory within the science and chemistry disciplines. I have developed a comprehensive understanding in data interpretation, analysis, and accurate communication of findings. I am experienced in presenting research findings through visual, written, and oral formats tailored to various audiences and contexts.
