Mark Dahlquist
Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian, Miami University
Mark Dahlquist is a Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian at Miami University, in Oxford Ohio, where he supports students and faculty members in the Departments of English and Media, Journalism & Film. He holds PhD and MLIS degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has published in venues such as College & Research Libraries, ELH, and Shakespeare Quarterly, and is also an award-winning instructor, who has taught many humanities courses. He is interested in digital humanities, information literacy and creativity, and ways that libraries can support and expand the conversations necessary for democratic social change.
Nancy Kranich
Teaching Professor, Rutgers University School of Communication and Information
Nancy Kranich teaches at the Rutgers University School of Communication and Information in the Library and Information Science program and speaks and publishes about information policy, intellectual freedom, information commons and community and civic engagement for all types of libraries. She served as the 2000-2001 president of the American Library Association (ALA), focusing on the role of libraries in democracies. Kranich edited the January 2024 issue of Library Quarterly on "Reimagining the Civic Role of Libraries," which includes her pivotal article on civic literacy.

Before her library career, she worked as a history instructor in higher education. She has an MLIS and an MA in History from the University of South Florida and a BA in History and Classics from the University of Florida.
Laura Semrau
Humanities Librarian, Baylor University
Laura Semrau is the Humanities Librarian at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She holds an MLIS from Simmons University and an MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Previously she served as Collection Development Librarian at New York University Abu Dhabi. Semrau’s current research interests include slow librarianship and the archive of novelist Dorothy Scarborough.
