The FAP focuses on providing training support to LGBTQ+ youth and their families. They have multiple training programs and services to help engage families with their LGBTQ+ children to prevent suicide, homelessness, and drug use. There are also many other trainings focused on family and school support.
Gender Spectrum concentrates on helping educate families and other organizations on gender inclusivity with a focus on children and youth. They provide many resources on their website regarding families, education, physical and mental health, adolescents, and being an ally. The Trevor Project offers a lot of resources for LGBTQ+ youth, including crisis services, peer support, advocacy work, research studies, and public education. Their crisis services include chatting online, calling, and texting with trained volunteers and counselors at any time. They also offer many training programs regarding LGBTQ+ youth, suicide prevention, and allyship.
Better Help connects individuals to licensed therapists completely online and with virtual sessions. While not specifically catered towards LGBTQ+ individuals, Better Help’s online therapy services significantly expand access to therapy and make it easy to get the help you need.
PFLAG offers online and in-person support groups for LGBTQ+ individuals. These support groups can be all-encompassing, or they have groups that cater to specific communities. PFLAG also has resources for LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and families or loved ones.
Q Chat Space provides live, online chat spaces for LGBTQ+ teens. These support groups are completely virtual and are run by trained volunteers. There are multiple types of chats to choose from with many different topics, themes, and times.
The National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center provides many resources and educational programs regarding LGBTQIA+ individuals. They have many webinars available to watch on their website as well as other published research and videos. These resources cover a wide variety of topics regarding LGBTQIA+ individuals, including behavioral health, HIV/STI prevention and treatment, children and youth, and older adults.
