I feel like I have gained career and self-development, critical thinking, and professionalism skills throughout my research experience. I have developed my career and self-development skills by proactively researching a topic that not only interests me but also relates to my career field because I want to study criminal justice and help people any way that I can. I’ve applied critical thinking to everything I did during my research and I use it in everyday life, but using it for research helped me develop it in a professional setting. My professionalism skills have vastly progressed throughout my research and the program itself because it has clarified how I should act towards and/or around other professionals or even adults.
