At the established study sites in the Western Campus woods, Blue Vane traps with yellow jars were set out to collect insects. There are a total of 3 sites with no honeysuckle (NH) and 3 sites with honeysuckle (H).
Collection day criteria were a predicted maximum temperature of over 54 degrees Fahrenheit and no more than 0.5 inches of precipitation.
Temperature and light data is ongoing, collected via iButtons and HOBOs.
Traps are set out for 24 hours at a time over the course of several days during initial flowering period and peak flowering period.
Collected insects will be identified down to taxonomic family.
