Eileen Asher (she/her)
Eileen Asher is a graphic designer and digital marketer, living and working in Central Ohio. She is the Brand and Marketing Specialist for the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio and the founder of her own design business.
All of her work is centered around design for good. From making logos for non-profits or designing emails for art educators, she strives to give something back in her work. Inclusive and accessible design also plays a special role in her creative process, as she is a certified professional of accessibility core competencies.
Outside of design and marketing, she volunteers her time as a board member for the Center for Disability Empowerment and the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts. When she is not working on those projects, she is probably napping or bothering her two tuxedo cats.
Lorena Ianiro (she/they)
Lorena is an alum of Miami University's Communication Design program and one of the founding voices behind last year's CompassionConverge. She is passionate about challenging norms and making sure everyone feels seen and valued. She is now working as a Public Allies Apprentice at Open Up Pittsburgh, where she has been able to use her design skills to promote inclusion and belonging while centering disabled experiences.
Molly Moran (she/her)
Molly teaches human-centered design to students of emerging technology at Miami University. Her favorite courses to teach are those that focus on social issues in design. Before coming to Miami, she designed new digital tools for the U.S. Department of State, including nine years working for four Secretaries of State on high-profile technology and communications projects. Molly believes in creating inclusive learning environments that challenge undergraduates and encourage them to develop their intellectual and creative courage. She is also writing a novel of historical fiction.
Constance Ordeman (she/her)
Constance Ordeman holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with a concentration in Graphic Design and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Experience Design from the College of Creative Arts at Miami University.
Her professional practice encompasses a broad range of design disciplines, including print communication, product development, environmental and wayfinding systems, brand identity, and user experience/user interface (UX/UI) design.
Ordeman began her career in corporate design, serving as Creative Director at Advercolor, Inc. and subsequently as Senior Designer at G. Neil and Associates in Miami, Florida.
Since 1996, she has operated Ordesign, LLC, an independent design studio through which she has led and contributed to numerous large-scale branding and rebranding initiatives. Her client portfolio includes Volkswagen, Norwegian Cruise Lines, PepsiCo, Dunkin’ (formerly Dunkin' Donuts), American Express, Hertz, Holiday Inn, Papa John’s, Verizon, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks, Ross, Medicaid Health Plans of America, and the government of Bonaire.
Since 2007, Ordeman has been a faculty member in the Design Department at Sinclair Community College, where she teaches courses in visual communication, branding, web and experience design. She has also taught at Miami University and Indiana State University, contributing to curriculum development and interdisciplinary design pedagogy.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive and human-centered design education. She encourages students to approach design problems with empathy, considering the diverse races, genders, classes, and lived experiences of others. Ordeman advocates for a process-driven approach, guiding students to focus on understanding and defining the problem, rather than prematurely committing to a solution. As she teaches, “Falling in love with the solution forces it into existence. We must instead ask: How does this serve the user, the customer, or humankind?”
She believes that design thinking begins with observation and reflection—to see the world through the lens of a designer is to recognize that inspiration is everywhere.
