Anyone! There is no specific demographic or college major required. Diversity makes us better!
BB requires its members to attend a monthly chapter meeting and event. Meetings typically last an hour, and events typically last 2 hours, always held on a Sunday.
BB offers two types of memberships: peer college buddy or associate member.
Peer college buddies are selected (via interviews) to have a one-to-one friendship with an adult who identifies with an intellectual or developmental disability. Each buddy pair is expected to have contact four times a month (phone, text, e-mail, letter, FaceTime, etc.) and hang out twice a month. This membership, while more time-consuming, is typically the most fulfilling for our members!
Associate members do not commit to an individual buddy but are encouraged to attend all chapter activates. Associate members are equally as important to the organization as peer buddies.
*Because we are a club focused on building genuine friendships, members can NOT
receive volunteer hours!*
