About me

       Welcome to 3rd Grade at Most Holy Redeemer School! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Maureen Collins and I am a native to Evergreen Park.  Before teaching at MHR, I taught seven years at Saint Michael School most recently, 17 years in the Atlanta area, and four years at MHR . I also attended MHR growing up!  I have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN. I am very excited to be back at Most Holy Redeemer, and I am looking forward to having a wonderful year getting to know you and your child. 

As an educator, I have a strong passion for teaching and providing all students with the ability to achieve individual excellence and academic success. I have the commitment to help each student grow and mature to their fullest potential in all areas, and I strive to encourage a willingness to assume challenges and responsibilities, to develop self-confidence and a positive self-image, and to be sensitive to the needs of others. I believe that learning must offer meaningful experiences, happiness, and a firm desire for future learning as the foundation for the learning process.
