Curriculum
The Academy operates on an alternating A Day/B Day block schedule. The Academy school day begins at 7:18 AM and ends at 3:02 PM.
Classes are 88-minutes in length with the exception of z-block which meetsd every day for 44 minutes.
Academy students take 45 credits per year (9 classes) and are required to complete 170 credits to graduate.
All required Academy coursework is taught at the honors or AP level.

Math: Geometry H* AND Academy Math Analysis 1H
Science: AP Physics 1
Engineering: Academy Computer-Aided Design H^
Humanities: Academy English 1H AND Academy Social Studies 1H
Grade 10 Required Coursework
Math: Academy Math Analysis 2H
Science: AP Chemistery
Engineering: Academy Fundamentals of Engineering H^ AND Academy Engineering & Product Development 1H
Humanities: Academy English 2H^^ AND Academy Social Studies 2H
Grade 11 Required Coursework
Math: Calculus (Honors, AB, or BC)
Science: AP Biology
Engineering: Academy Engineering & Product Development 3H
Grade 12 Required Coursework
Math: Calculus 3H^ or AP Statistics
Science: Academy Biotechnology H
Engineering: Academy Engineering & Product Development 4H
Other: Academy Technical Writing H (one semester) AND Academy Macroeconomics H**^ (one semester)
*Student who are taking or took Geometry in their middle school may qualify to test out
**Requirement can be met through AP Economics
^ Students can earn dual enrollment credit through NJIT
^^ Students can earn dual enrollment credit through FDU
